Why it works
Mesh Construction & Visibility

Three full mesh walls give you a direct line of sight to your baby from any angle in the room. The grey polyester mesh is taut enough to stay smooth but flexible enough to compress slightly when you reach through to adjust a blanket or pick up baby.

Height Adjustment & Bed Compatibility

The six-position height system adjusts in two-inch increments, locking into place with spring-loaded pins on each leg. You measure your mattress height from floor to top surface, then set the sleeper so its upper rail sits level with or slightly below your mattress.

This alignment lets you slide baby in and out without lifting over a barrier. Platform beds, pillow-tops, and standard box springs all fall within the 24-to-34-inch range. Each leg adjusts independently, so if your bed frame sits slightly uneven you can level the crib without shimming.

Folding & Portability
The details

Folding & Portability

The folding sequence takes about fifteen seconds once you’ve done it twice. You pull the center release strap upward while pressing down on the mattress platform, and the frame collapses into a ten-inch-tall rectangle that slides under a bed or into a closet.

Four wheels—two locking, two swivel—make it easy to roll the crib between bedroom and living room during the day. The wheels lock with a foot pedal, so the crib stays planted once you’ve positioned it. We included a carry bag with shoulder straps for car trips or flights.

Perfect height match for our bed
I was worried this wouldn’t line up with our pillow-top mattress, but the adjustable legs made it easy to get it exactly level. Being able to reach over and comfort my daughter without getting out of bed has been a lifesaver during night feedings. The mesh sides let me see her without turning on a light.

Folds up so easily
We travel to my parents’ house every other weekend, and this crib folds flat in seconds. It fits in our trunk next to the diaper bag and stroller. Setup at their place takes maybe two minutes. The wheels make it easy to move between rooms during the day.

Sturdy and breathable
The steel frame feels very solid once it’s locked in place. I like that the mesh doesn’t sag when I lean over to pick up my son. The grey color is practical—it hides spit-up stains better than white would. My only note is that the mattress is a bit firm, but that’s actually safer for newborns.

Great for C-section recovery
After my C-section I couldn’t bend or lift much for the first few weeks. Having my baby right next to me at bed height meant I could slide her in and out without straining my incision. The one-hand folding is clutch when you’re still recovering.

Highly recommend for small spaces
Our bedroom isn’t huge, and this takes up way less floor space than a full crib would. The wheels let me roll it into the corner during the day to open up the room. At night it tucks right against my side of the bed. The included sheet and mattress pad were a nice bonus.

Exactly what we needed
We wanted our newborn close but safe in his own sleep space. This bedside sleeper solved both problems. The mesh gives me peace of mind because I can always see him breathing, and the sturdy frame doesn’t wobble when I lean on it. Assembly was straightforward with the included manual.

Questions About the Mika Micky Grey Portable Crib

The six height positions adjust from 24 to 34 inches, which covers most standard beds, platform beds, and pillow-tops. You measure from your floor to the top of your mattress, then set the legs so the sleeper’s rail sits level with or slightly below your mattress surface.

If your bed is shorter than 24 inches or taller than 34 inches, this model may not align properly. Each leg adjusts independently with spring-loaded pins, so you can level the crib even if your floor is slightly uneven.

Pull the center release strap upward with one hand while pressing down on the mattress platform with the other. The frame collapses into a flat rectangle about ten inches tall. The entire process takes about fifteen seconds once you’re familiar with the mechanism.

We include a carry bag with shoulder straps, so you can pack the folded crib for car trips or flights. The bag fits the crib, mattress pad, and one fitted sheet.

The crib is rated for babies up to 20 pounds or until they can push up on hands and knees, whichever milestone comes first. Once your baby starts rolling over consistently or attempting to pull themselves up, it’s time to transition to a full-size crib with higher rails.

The mesh walls are strong enough to support a baby leaning against them, but they’re not designed for a mobile infant who can climb or stand. Most families use this sleeper from birth to around five or six months.

Yes, the mattress measures 33 inches long by 19 inches wide, which is the standard bassinet sheet size. One fitted sheet is included, and you can purchase additional sheets from us or use any standard bassinet sheet from other brands.

The elastic hem on our sheets fits mattresses up to four inches thick. Avoid sheets that are too loose, as excess fabric can pose a suffocation risk.

The included mattress pad has a waterproof polyurethane layer between the quilted polyester top and the foam core. It blocks leaks from reaching the foam, so you can wipe up spills or wash the pad without worrying about mold inside.

The pad unzips and is machine washable on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry—high heat can damage the waterproof layer over time.

Yes, our crib is JPMA certified and meets ASTM F2906, the voluntary safety standard for bedside sleepers in the United States. This standard includes tip-over testing, structural integrity checks, and requirements for mesh tension and mattress fit.

We test every production batch to confirm the frame stays rigid during use and that the mesh panels maintain proper tension. The locking wheels prevent the crib from rolling once it’s in position next to your bed.

First-time setup takes about ten to fifteen minutes. You unfold the frame, lock the legs into your chosen height position, attach the mattress platform, and secure the mesh panels with the included clips.

The instruction manual has step-by-step diagrams, and no tools are required. After the initial assembly, folding and unfolding for travel or storage takes less than a minute once you’re familiar with the release mechanism.
